Placenta
Encapsulation
Placenta encapsulation is the process of transforming the placenta into a safe, easy-to-consume form, allowing you to receive the benefits of placenta consumption in a convenient way. Encapsulation is done following food safety and OSHA guidelines. The placenta is first steamed, then dried and ground into a powder before being placed into capsules. Although there are limited studies on the benefits of consuming placenta, many have found increased energy, hormonal balance, increased breast milk production and improved mood with placenta consumption.

TCM: Traditional Chinese Method
This option follows the traditional method of steaming and dehydrating but includes steaming the placenta over an infusion of organic lemon, chili, and ginger. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, it is believed that the process of pregnancy and childbirth leaves a mother in a state of yin (cold). Postpartum healing can be enhanced with the use of warmth (yang), in this instance, the use of steaming and warming herbs.
